One of the many sideshows at the "NS Family Portrait" event of 2012 was seeing two original Norfolk Southern paint schemes side by side.

NS 1616, a 1955 Baldwin AS-416 locomotive, is on display at North Carolina Transportation Museum.

Built for Norfolk Southern in 1955, then bought by Peabody Coal in 1975, NS 1616 sits quietly on display in the Bob Julian roundhouse at the NCTM.
